We offer hands on experience, a chance to develop new relationships, to share skills & talents, receive reference for a resume and to be a part of an interdisciplinary team.

Volunteer opportunities available include:
Bingo Helper - Assisting with crafts - Playing a musical instrument - Assisting with manicures - Playing cards and games - Friendly Visitor - Helping to feed residents at mealtimes - Helping to decorate for holidays and seasons - Helping out in the Tuck Shop.
Choose from part or full-time, short or long term commitments.
Volunteers enable us to give an improved level of care, and we are able to maintain a strong bond with out community, due to the extra support we get from them.

Nursing home volunteer shares gift of music for 16 years

Helen MacEachern doesn't just entertain nursing home residents with her piano performances; she helps those with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease express themselves through songs from their past.
MacEachern is the Collingwood Nursing Home's longest-standing volunteer.
