Come discover all the exciting wonderful ways that you can get involved in your community. A chance to interact and explore a variety of volunteer opportunities. We offer hands on experience, a chance to develop new relationships, to share skills & talents, receive reference for a resume and to be a part of an interdisciplinary team.

Retired, Seniors and Students are Welcome!

Volunteer opportunities available include:

Bingo Helper – Assisting with crafts – Playing a musical instrument – Assisting with manicures – Playing cards and games – Friendly Visitor –  Helping to decorate for holidays and seasons – Helping out in the Tuck Shop.

Choose from part or full-time, short or long term commitments.
Volunteers enable us to give an improved level of care, and we are able to maintain a strong bond with our community, due to the extra support we get from them.

Nursing home volunteer shares gift of music for 17+ years

Helen MacEachern doesn’t just entertain nursing home residents with her piano performances; she helps those with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease express themselves through songs from their past.

MacEachern is the Collingwood Nursing Home’s longest-standing volunteer.
